6″ of Turkish Twist Damascus, sabre ground rather than full flat — the grind starts about halfway up the blade height, leaving more steel behind the edge than a full-height grind would, which matters here because this is the one knife in the lineup rated for batoning through seasoned firewood.
We hold this one to 60 HRC rather than the 61–62 we run on our kitchen and EDC lines specifically for that use case — a point lower in hardness trades a small amount of edge-holding for meaningfully more resistance to lateral shock, and a camp knife that chips on a batoning strike is a bigger practical problem than one that needs touching up sooner. Full tang, canvas Micarta scales, and a substantial 5mm spine for consistent striking with a baton or ferro rod.
